The Federal Government has launched a report to enhance MSMEs’ access to the African Continental Free Trade Area market.
The report focuses on cross-border digital payments and identity systems for Nigerian businesses.
It was unveiled in Abuja by Ibrahim Hassan Hadejia.
The initiative was hosted by the Office of the Vice President in collaboration with ODI Global.
Officials said the report aims to improve trade opportunities for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises.

Hadejia noted that seamless cross-border payments are critical for unlocking trade and economic growth.
He said Nigeria must remain at the forefront of digital trade across Africa.
The report highlights the role of digital identity systems in enabling secure transactions.
It also identifies the Pan-African Payment and Settlement System as a key platform.
Nigerian fintech firms such as PalmPay and Moniepoint were noted as important drivers.
Special Adviser Temitola Adekunle-Johnson said the report will strengthen the MSME ecosystem.
He added that systems like BVN and NIN are improving digital trade processes.
Officials said the initiative supports President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s economic agenda.
The government reaffirmed commitment to improving infrastructure and partnerships for digital trade.
