The All Progressives Congress (APC) has successfully conducted its local government congresses across the 21 local government areas of Adamawa State, with officials describing the exercise as peaceful, transparent, and orderly.

The APC carried out its local government congresses simultaneously across all 21 LGAs in the state.

Party members participated actively, ensuring a smooth process with minimal disputes reported.

Chairman of the State Congress Committee, Ephraim Abgwe, monitored the exercise in several areas and expressed satisfaction with the outcome.

Speaking to journalists in Yola South, Abgwe praised party members for maintaining peace and demonstrating commitment to democratic values.

According to Abgwe, most of the elections were conducted through consensus rather than voting.

He said this approach reflected unity, political maturity, and internal harmony within the party, helping to avoid conflicts during the process.

The APC leadership described the successful congresses as a sign of increasing cohesion within the party in Adamawa.

Officials believe the outcome strengthens the party’s structure and positions it for greater political influence in the state.

Abgwe expressed optimism about the party’s chances in the 2027 general elections.

He noted that the unity displayed during the congresses, combined with growing support, could translate into electoral success.

He also commended stakeholders, delegates, and aspirants for ensuring a rancour-free process.

The successful conduct of the congresses marks an important step in consolidating APC’s internal structure in Adamawa.

With strengthened unity and organisation, the party is now focusing on building momentum ahead of future political contests.
