Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) winger Ousmane Dembélé is set to return to action this weekend after spending six weeks out with a hamstring injury that sidelined him during a crucial stage of the season.
Head coach Luis Enrique confirmed the news during a press conference on Thursday, revealing that the French international has fully recovered and resumed full training with the first team.
“Dembélé has been training well this week. He’s ready to return and will be part of the squad for our next match,” Enrique said.
The 28-year-old forward sustained the injury during PSG’s Champions League clash in early September, forcing him to miss several matches, including key Ligue 1 fixtures and international duty with France.
Dembélé’s absence had left a creative gap in PSG’s attack, with the club relying heavily on Kylian Mbappé and Randal Kolo Muani. His return is expected to bolster the team’s offensive options as PSG continue their push in Ligue 1 and prepare for the Champions League knockout stage.
According to reports from L’Équipe, Dembélé could feature in PSG’s upcoming fixture against Lyon, either as a starter or coming off the bench to regain match fitness.
The winger, who joined PSG from Barcelona in 2023, has recorded four assists in 18 appearances this season. His comeback is viewed as a major boost for the Parisian side as they aim to maintain their domestic dominance and strengthen their European campaign.
