José Mourinho is close to returning to Real Madrid for a second spell as manager after reaching a verbal agreement with the club.
Reports say the Portuguese coach has agreed to a two-year deal with the Spanish giants. The club will complete the remaining paperwork in the coming days.
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano shared the update on Monday. He said Mourinho will travel to Madrid after Real Madrid’s final La Liga match against Athletic Bilbao.
If the move goes through, Mourinho will return to the Santiago Bernabéu more than 10 years after his first stint. He managed the club from 2010 to 2013 and won the La Liga title, Copa del Rey, and Spanish Super Cup.
Fans have already started reacting to the possible return of “The Special One” as they wait for an official announcement from Real Madrid.
