A UK-based Korean DJ, Jinseoul, has sparked reactions online after naming Cross River as the best state in Nigeria following her four month tour across the country.
The Birmingham-based DJ, known for her love for Afrobeats and Amapiano, visited several states and shared her experience in a fast-rising TikTok video that quickly gained attention.
She placed Cross River at the top of her list, praising the state for its beautiful rainforests, peaceful environment, waterfalls, and welcoming people. According to her, the strong sense of community and natural beauty made Cross River stand out from the rest.
Kano came in second place. Jinseoul admired the city’s rich history, ancient mosques, and the kindness of the people. She described Kano as one of the most culturally powerful places she visited in Nigeria.
Lagos, often seen as Nigeria’s busiest city, ranked number 10 on her list. While she enjoyed the beaches, nightlife, and entertainment scene, she said the city lacked the calm and natural beauty she found in other states.
Her video showed rivers, game parks, waterfalls, and historic sites across Nigeria, surprising many viewers who said they had never seen some of those places before.
Many Nigerians praised her for showing a different side of the country beyond Lagos and Abuja. Others said her ranking proves Nigeria has strong tourism potential if insecurity and poor promotion are properly addressed.
The video has now opened fresh conversations about tourism, culture, and the hidden beauty across Nigeria’s many states.
