The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), Zone ‘D’ Bauchi, has recorded a change in leadership with the assumption of duty by Assistant Comptroller General (ACG) Chukwudi Ogbonna as the new Zonal Coordinator.

The transition followed the retirement of ACG Musa Binga, who exited the service after attaining the statutory retirement age of 60.

The development was announced in a statement issued by the Zonal Public Relations Officer, Superintendent of Customs Nasir Ahmad.

According to the statement, the formal handover ceremony took place on Thursday, December 11, 2025, at the Zonal Conference Room in Bauchi, with Area Controllers, Principal Officers, Heads of Units, and senior officers from across the Zone in attendance.

In his valedictory remarks, ACG Binga expressed appreciation to the Comptroller-General of Customs, Adewale Adeniyi, MFR, for the opportunity to serve as Zonal Coordinator. He credited the achievements recorded during his tenure to the dedication and professionalism of officers and men of the Zone.
