USA ELIMINATED...

The 2026 FIFA World Cup has ended early for all three co-hosts — the United States, Mexico, and Canada. Each team reached the Round of 16 but failed to advance further.

The United States fell last. Belgium beat them 4–1 in Seattle on Monday. The home crowd pushed the Americans forward, but Belgium’s attack proved too strong.

Canada exited first. Morocco defeated them 3–0 on July 4. Azzedine Ounahi scored twice, and Soufiane Rahimi added a late strike. Canada also struggled without Alphonso Davies, who battled injury throughout the tournament.

Mexico followed on Sunday. England silenced more than 80,000 fans at the Estadio Azteca with a 3–2 win. Jude Bellingham scored twice in under two minutes. Harry Kane converted a penalty, sealing Mexico’s fate despite England playing with ten men.

Coach Javier Aguirre will step down. His assistant, Rafael Márquez, is expected to take charge.

Together, the three hosts showed promise but lacked consistency. Their early exits highlight the unforgiving nature of knockout football.
