Nigeria Signs MoU to Boost Creative Economy

The Federal Government has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen Nigeria’s fashion and creative industry as part of efforts to grow the nation’s creative economy.

The agreement was signed by the Honourable Minister of the Federal Ministry of Arts, Culture, Tourism, and Creative Economy, Hannatu Musa Musawa, and the Convener of Threads of African Fashion Week.

The partnership is designed to create new opportunities for creatives, support innovation, and promote sustainable growth in the fashion and cultural sectors.

Speaking on the development, the Minister described the collaboration as a major step toward unlocking the potential of Nigeria’s Orange Economy.

She noted that the initiative would help strengthen industry stakeholders, promote African talent, and position Nigeria as a global hub for fashion, culture, and creative excellence.

The partnership is also expected to enhance cultural diplomacy, empower young creatives, and contribute to economic growth through increased investment and global visibility for Nigeria’s fashion industry.
