The Islamic Movement in Nigeria has urged Muslims and Christians worldwide to unite in confronting injustice and oppression, stressing that collective action is essential to promote justice and improve living conditions.

The call was made on Sunday by Zeenatuddeen Ibraheem Zakzaky, wife of Sheikh Ibraheem Zakzaky, during the closing ceremony of the 5th International Conference on Islamic Thought.

Speaking at the conference themed “The State of Affairs and the Way Out,” she emphasized the need for global solidarity among people of faith to address rising cases of injustice and socio-economic hardship affecting communities across the world.

According to her, unity between Muslims and Christians would strengthen efforts toward building a more just and equitable society, adding that religious differences should not be a barrier in confronting common challenges.

She noted that cooperation across faith lines remains critical in promoting peace, fairness, and improved welfare, particularly in regions grappling with instability and inequality.

The conference brought together participants to deliberate on contemporary issues affecting the Muslim world and explore pathways toward sustainable solutions grounded in justice and shared responsibility.
