Nigeria’s headline inflation rate declined further to 14.45 per cent in November 2025, down from 16.05 per cent recorded in October 2025, according to the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS).

The latest inflation data released by the NBS on Monday indicates a continued moderation in consumer price pressures, following the adoption of a new base year, in line with President Bola Tinubu’s projected inflation target of 15 per cent by the end of 2025 and the Federal Government’s budget assumptions.

On a month-on-month basis, the NBS reported that headline inflation eased to 14.45 per cent in November 2025.

The food inflation rate, however, rose to 1.13 per cent in November, representing an increase of 1.5 percentage points compared to -0.37 per cent recorded in October 2025 on a month-on-month basis.

On a year-on-year basis, the NBS said headline inflation stood at 20.15 percentage points lower than the 34.60 per cent recorded in November 2024, indicating a significant slowdown in price increases compared to the same period last year.

The data shows that Nigeria’s inflation rate continued to decline in November 2025, reflecting easing price pressures across the economy when compared with both the previous month and the corresponding period in 2024.
