Dr. Zainab Sulaiman has encouraged Nigerians to make positive use of social media, saying the digital space can create life-changing opportunities when used responsibly.
Speaking on the benefits she has gained through social media, Dr. Sulaiman revealed that the platform played a major role in both her personal and professional life.
According to her, social media helped her secure three different appointments, find employment opportunities, and even meet her husband.
“For me, my three appointments came from social media. I got married through social media. I also got my first, second, and third jobs from social media,” she said.
She explained that social media has gone beyond being a platform for entertainment, stressing that it can serve as a valuable tool for networking, career growth, and building meaningful relationships.
Dr. Sulaiman noted that connecting with people and discovering opportunities are among the greatest benefits she has enjoyed from social media.
“So yes, connecting with people and finding opportunities is basically what social media has helped me achieve so far,” she added.
She urged Nigerians, especially young people, to use social media wisely by creating positive content, building professional networks, and taking advantage of opportunities available online.
