In a statement, Prof. Pantami said his attention was drawn to a strongly worded post by a page administrator which suggested that anyone who does not support him, including clerics, should be regarded as hypocrites. He clarified that the message did not have his approval and does not reflect his principles or political philosophy.

He further announced that the administrator responsible for the post has been suspended indefinitely, signaling a move to enforce discipline and accountability within his media team.

Prof. Pantami emphasized that politics should remain inclusive, noting that individuals must be respected regardless of sectarian or ideological differences. Drawing from his background as an academic, administrator, former minister, and religious cleric, he underscored the importance of criticism in strengthening governance and public discourse.

“As someone aspiring to lead a heterogeneous, multi-ethnic, and multi-religious society, I am for everyone,” he stated, adding that justice and fairness remain central to his values, in line with Islamic teachings.

He also highlighted the diversity within his team, describing it as a reflection of Nigeria’s plural identity. According to him, his political structure includes individuals of different faiths and backgrounds, reinforcing his belief that diversity is a source of strength.

The statement concludes with a call for unity and mutual respect, as he seeks to position himself as a leader who can accommodate all segments of society.
