Natasha Osawaru, wife of Nigerian music star 2Baba, has declared her ambition to become Nigeria’s president. She made the declaration while celebrating her grandfather, Chief Gabriel Igbinedion, on his 92nd birthday.

The Edo lawmaker told her grandfather that she would make him proud. She also promised to become Nigeria’s president during his lifetime. Natasha shared the message while celebrating Igbinedion and reflecting on his influence in her life.

She also prayed for her grandfather’s continued good health. Natasha thanked him for his guidance and support over the years. Her message showed the close relationship between the politician and the influential businessman.

Natasha already holds an elected political position in Edo State. She represents Egor Constituency in the Edo State House of Assembly. She won the seat during the 2023 Edo State Assembly election.

Her political career has continued to grow since then. In August 2026, lawmakers elected her as the minority leader of the Edo State House of Assembly. She also joined the Nigeria Democratic Congress in May after leaving the Peoples Democratic Party.

Natasha comes from the prominent Igbinedion family. Chief Gabriel Igbinedion remains one of the best-known figures in Edo State. Her family background has also shaped public interest in her political career.

Her relationship with 2Baba has further increased her national visibility. The couple attracted widespread attention after they made their relationship public. Natasha, however, has continued to pursue her political career alongside her public life.

Her presidential statement now adds a bigger ambition to that journey. Natasha has not announced a formal presidential campaign for a specific election. However, her promise to her grandfather shows that she has set her sights on Nigeria’s highest political office.

For now, Natasha remains focused on her political career in Edo State. Her latest declaration has also sparked interest in her long-term plans. Nigerians will watch closely to see how her political journey develops.
