Troops of Operation Hadin Kai have repelled coordinated terrorist attacks on military positions in several parts of Borno State.
The attacks targeted troop locations in Konduga, Marte, Jakana and Mainok between late night and early morning on March 6.
According to the military, insurgents launched the attacks around 10:30 p.m. and continued until about 3:00 a.m.
However, troops resisted the assaults and maintained their defensive positions.

Reinforcement teams from different sectors supported the response. Soldiers also carried out flanking manoeuvres that forced the attackers to retreat.
In some areas, militants briefly breached parts of the defensive perimeter.Troops quickly counter-attacked and regained control of the positions.
The military said several insurgents were killed during the engagements.
Among those neutralised were key terrorist leaders, including field commanders known as Amirs.
Air support from the Nigerian Air Force also targeted fleeing militants and hostile positions during the operation.
The military confirmed that some soldiers died during the clashes.
Among the fallen was an officer who reportedly led troops during the engagement.
Troops are currently conducting follow-up operations to recover weapons, equipment and bodies of insurgents in the affected areas.
Operation Hadin Kai said the bases involved in the attacks remain under military control.
