S24 Television is expanding from Abuja, Nigeria, to Leicester, United Kingdom, launching a bold new chapter that connects African storytelling with the global diaspora. Known for editorial integrity and cinematic documentaries, the platform is establishing a UK Bureau to bridge the gap between the continent and its citizens abroad.
Why We Are Launching the UK Bureau
The African diaspora in the United Kingdom is a dynamic powerhouse. S24 is establishing a physical presence in Leicester to cover diaspora business, culture, and community affairs directly, moving past second-hand reporting. This strategic bureau creates clear pipelines for talent, investment, and media partnerships between Nigerian creators and the UK’s broadcasting sector.
Closing the Media Training Gap
Modern audiences move fluidly between television, streaming, and podcasts, expecting polished, credible content. Yet, professional training remains scarce for diaspora creators. Broadcasting relies on precise technique how you project your voice, master on-camera body language, and maintain editorial authority under studio lights.
To close this gap, S24 is launching the International School of Broadcast and Digital Media. The curriculum covers:
-
On-camera presence and vocal delivery
-
Wardrobe and grooming for broadcast
-
Editorial judgment and authentic storytelling
-
Digital and social-first content production
This bridge institution combines rich African broadcast traditions with global, digital-first standards, utilizing the Leicester campus for international outreach.
Join the Conversation
To celebrate the launch, S24 hosted the Nigerian diaspora community in Leicester for a special podcast conversation on Artificial Intelligence. Attendees explored how AI impacts media, business, and storytelling, helping to shape the bureau’s future.
