APC Receives Tinubu, Shettima Nomination Forms Ahead of 2027

The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC),Professor Nentawe Yilwatda, has formally received the presidential nomination forms of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima ahead of the 2027 general election.

The nomination forms were presented on behalf of President Tinubu by his Special Adviser on Political and Other Matters, Hon. Ibrahim Masari, during a ceremony held at the Continental Hotel in Abuja.

The presentation signals the commencement of the APC’s formal preparations for the 2027 presidential election, with President Tinubu and Vice President Shettima expected to seek a second term under the party’s platform.

Speaking at the event, Prof. described the occasion as a significant milestone in the party’s journey, saying it reaffirmed the APC’s commitment to sustaining the Renewed Hope Agenda and consolidating the progress recorded under the current administration.

He noted that the presentation of the nomination forms reflected the party’s confidence in the leadership of President Tinubu and Vice President Shettima as they prepare to seek a fresh mandate from Nigerians.

The ceremony was attended by several APC leaders and governors, including Chairman of the Progressive Governors’ Forum and Governor of Imo State, Senator Hope Uzodimma; Governors Mai Mala Buni, Nasir Idris, Uba Sani, Babagana Umara Zulum, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, Abba Kabir Yusuf, as well as other governors, party executives and key stakeholders from across the federation.

The gathering was marked by calls for unity and renewed commitment to strengthening the party ahead of the 2027 elections.

The APC leadership said it would continue to expand its grassroots support, consolidate the achievements of the Renewed Hope Agenda, and work towards building a more prosperous, secure and inclusive Nigeria as preparations for the next general election gather momentum.
