A former director in Nigeria’s capital administration has now joined the race for the House of Representatives.
Muktar Galadima, a retired town planner and former director at the Federal Capital Territory Administration, has declared his ambition.
He recently picked up his nomination and expression of interest forms under the Peoples Democratic Party.
Moreover, he collected the forms at the party secretariat in Jalingo.
Galadima plans to represent Wukari/Ibi Federal Constituency in Taraba State.
As a result, he has begun consultations with local stakeholders. According to him, his people encouraged him to run.
Therefore, he wants to offer better representation and improve lives in the constituency. He believes strongly in his chances.
In addition, he says voters, not political pressure, will decide the outcome.
However, Galadima says he is not worried about other contenders. Instead, he remains focused on connecting with voters.
He comes from Ibi Local Government Area and retired from public service about nine years ago then built his career as a professional town planner
This move shows early preparation for the 2027 elections. At the same time, it highlights growing political activity in Taraba. Next, the PDP will hold its primaries.
After that, candidates will campaign across the constituency. Ultimately, voters will decide who represents them.
