The Director-General of the National Orientation Agency (NOA), Mallam Lanre Issa-Onilu, has paid tribute to officers and men of the Nigerian Armed Forces, describing them as the backbone of the nation’s unity, peace, and sovereignty.

Issa-Onilu spoke as Nigerians marked this year’s Armed Forces Remembrance Day, noting that the annual observance provides an opportunity to reflect on the sacrifices of military personnel, particularly those who lost their lives in the defence of the country.

He said the courage, patriotism, and selflessness of the fallen heroes remain a constant reminder of the price paid for Nigeria’s freedom and stability.
