Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency has sealed 12 establishments across the state over alleged persistent environmental violations.
The enforcement operation took place on Tuesday, September 22, 2026, across Ogba, Idimu-Ikota, Ejigbo, LASU-Iba Road, Igando and Agodo-Egbe. LASEPA said the affected establishments had received warnings and abatement notices before the latest action.
Among the establishments sealed was the Celestial Church of Christ, Aduragbemi Parish, in Ikotun. LASEPA cited noise pollution and non-compliance with its directives as reasons for the action. Several hotels, lounges and other businesses were also affected.
The agency said Thrillz Lounge in Ogba was sealed over noise pollution and non-compliance. Marvel Hotel & Suites in Igando was also shut for similar violations. Keviz Hotel & Suites was cited for obstruction of duty and non-compliance, while DSN Hotel & Suites and Rudaj Vegetable Oil were sealed for failing to comply with environmental directives.
Other affected establishments included Nico Hotel & Suites, Kobo Night Club, Master Furniture, Nikky’s Executive Bar & Lounge, Feixiang Plastic and Limas. LASEPA said the enforcement was part of efforts by the Lagos State Government to enforce environmental laws, protect public health and promote a cleaner environment.
LASEPA General Manager, Babatunde Ajayi, urged business owners, religious institutions, facility operators and residents to follow environmental regulations. He also called on operators to obtain the required permits and cooperate with the agency.
The agency said it would continue monitoring and enforcing environmental standards across Lagos. The latest action adds to a series of enforcement exercises targeting establishments accused of violating environmental regulations, particularly noise pollution and failure to comply with regulatory directives.
