Honourable Sulaiman Yahaya, the NDC candidate for Maigana Constituency in Soba Local Government Area of Kaduna State, has expressed gratitude to Almighty Allah following the confirmation of his name on the candidate list released by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
Yahaya described the development as an important milestone in his political journey and a confirmation of his status as the duly nominated and recognised NDC candidate for the constituency.
In a statement issued on Tuesday, Yahaya thanked the leadership of the NDC, party stakeholders, community leaders, youths, women, supporters and well-wishers for their continued support of his candidacy.
He said the confirmation was not merely a personal achievement but a renewed call to service and a responsibility to the people of Maigana Constituency.
“I give all glory and gratitude to Almighty Allah for this important milestone. I am deeply humbled by the confirmation of my candidacy by INEC. I recognise that this is not simply about an individual; it is about the confidence, aspirations and hopes of the people I seek to represent,” Yahaya said.
The NDC candidate reaffirmed his commitment to a peaceful, issue-based and people-oriented campaign focused on effective representation, accountability, youth empowerment, economic opportunities and sustainable development.
He also urged his supporters, party members and residents of Maigana Constituency to remain peaceful, united and law-abiding throughout the electoral process.
Yahaya stressed that the interests of the constituency must remain the priority, regardless of political differences.
He further pledged to maintain engagement with residents at the grassroots, listen to their concerns and work towards building a stronger, more inclusive and prosperous Maigana Constituency.
The candidate expressed confidence in the democratic process and prayed for wisdom, strength and courage to serve the people with integrity and distinction.
