Nollywood actress Destiny Etiko says she has learned an expensive lesson after staking millions on the 2026 FIFA World Cup final.
Destiny Etiko revealed that she placed her first ever football bet during the 2026 FIFA World Cup final between Spain and Argentina and lost ₦5 million.
Sharing her frustration on Instagram shortly after the final, she wrote:”First time betting and I lost. Will never try it again. My ₦5 million is gone.”
Etiko admitted that watching the match with so much money at stake left her emotionally overwhelmed.
She even joked that she was done watching football. Many followers sympathized with the actress, while others teased her over the unsuccessful wager.
Several advised her to stay away from sports betting.
