Dino Melaye has insisted that no external pressure could have stopped the African Democratic Congress from holding its convention.
He made the remark while addressing issues surrounding the party’s planned event.
Melaye said the party had a valid agreement with the management of the venue.
According to him, the ADC fully paid for the Rainbow Event Centre.
He stressed that the contract gave the party the legal right to proceed.

“We refused to leave because we have a duly signed contract,” he said.
He added that the convention would go ahead as planned.
Furthermore, Melaye maintained that no authority could override the agreement.
