Again, Prof Pantami Advocates Greater Investment in Northern Media

Renowned Islamic scholar, Professor Isa Ali Ibrahim Pantami has called on Nigerians to support and invest in Northern owned media outlet.

Pantami made the appeal during the closing session of the 2026 Ramadan Tafsir at Annur Masjid, where , he calls for adequate support and funding  for platform that promotes positive, pan Nigerian narratives.

While addressing the gathering, he praised the efforts of S24 Television and other northern-based media organizations for highlighting positive stories from the region and across Nigeria.

According to him, the presence of media outlets like S24 is a welcome development as Northern Nigeria seeks stronger representation in the national media space.

Pantami urged individuals and organizations to support and invest in credible media platforms such as S24. He said it is the collective responsibility of the people to sustain institutions that promote balanced and responsible reporting.

He also noted that the station’s decision to broadcast in English allows its message to reach a wider national and international audience.

The scholar further advised S24 Television’s management to continue strengthening the station by recruiting competent professionals. He emphasized the importance of carrying out media responsibilities with integrity and professionalism.

Pantami concluded with prayers for the continued success of S24 Television and for lasting peace and stability in Nigeria and the Arewa region.

Officials of Annur Masjid later declared the 2026 Ramadan Tafsir session officially closed.
