SERAP has petitioned the Code of Conduct Bureau over alleged misconduct by senators during the amendment of the Electoral Act Bill.
Specifically, SERAP accused some senators of removing provisions on electronic transmission of election results without debate or plenary approval.
Accordingly, the organisation said the majority of senators had earlier voted in favour of retaining the electronic transmission provisions.
Meanwhile, SERAP also requested investigations into alleged alterations of tax reform bills passed by the National Assembly.

The group claimed discrepancies exist between harmonised bills approved by lawmakers and versions signed into law and gazetted.
Furthermore, SERAP urged the Bureau to investigate executive branch officials allegedly involved in altering the tax reform legislation.
The petition was addressed to the Chairman of the Code of Conduct Bureau, Dr. Abdullahi Usman Bello.
SERAP warned that lawmaking driven by abuse of office undermines constitutional responsibility and violates the Code of Conduct for Public Officers.
