A pioneer of Halal and ethical finance in Nigeria, Mr. Zakari Ahmadu, has advised Nigerian youths to avoid Ponzi schemes and stop relying on a single source of income.
Zakari made this known when he appeared as a guest on S24 Television Spotlight On in Abuja, where he shared his inspiring journey from humble beginnings to becoming one of Nigeria’s leading figures in ethical finance.
According to him, many people find it hard to believe that he once worked as a teacher and later as a farmer before joining the Halal board and eventually moving into the finance sector.
He explained that his success came through years of struggle, persistence and determination, stressing that hard work and patience remain key to achieving financial stability.
Mr. Zakari warned young Nigerians against investing in Ponzi schemes, describing them as dangerous and deceptive ventures that often lead to financial losses.
He urged youths to develop skills, embrace legitimate investments and create multiple streams of income rather than depending on one source of livelihood.
Zakari Ahmadu is widely recognised as one of the pioneers of Halal and ethical finance in Nigeria. He also made history as the first professional to lead a Halal/Ethical-based Pension Fund under Nigeria’s contributory pension scheme.
His story continues to inspire many Nigerians, particularly young entrepreneurs seeking to build successful and ethical careers in the financial sector.
