Shettima Delivers Tinubu 2027 Nomination Documents

The Vice President, Senator Kashim Shettima, on Thursday formally submitted President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s nomination and expression of interest forms to the national officers of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), signalling the President’s intention to seek the party’s ticket for the 2027 presidential election.

The submission took place at the Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Conference Centre, where senior party officials, governors, National Assembly members, and other stakeholders were in attendance.

Speaking after submitting the forms on behalf of the President, Shettima called on party members across all levels to unite in support of Tinubu’s second term ambition, noting that the President has demonstrated capacity to steer Nigeria out of its economic and social challenges.

He said the administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda has already begun to show measurable impact across key sectors of the economy, and urged the party to consolidate on those gains.

“We are here, first, as Nigerians, and secondly as members of the All Progressives Congress (APC), to submit this very priceless nomination form of our dear President and leader, His Excellency, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, as he seeks to lead us for another four-year term,” Shettima stated.

The Vice President’s remarks were widely interpreted as a formal mobilisation call within the ruling party, as the APC begins early positioning ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Party leaders at the event reportedly expressed support for the President’s candidacy, framing it as a continuation of ongoing policy reforms under the current administration.

The submission marks a key political step in consolidating internal party backing for Tinubu’s re-election bid, with expectations that further endorsements will follow from APC structures nationwide.
