Nollywood actress Patience Ozokwo has expressed sadness over missing the funeral of veteran actor Olu Jacobs.
Olu Jacobs was laid to rest in Lagos on Friday, October 2, 2026, with family members, friends, colleagues and other guests in attendance.
Ozokwo was unable to attend the funeral because she was in Ghana for a movie project.
According to the actress, her return to Nigeria was prevented by contractual obligations.
In a message shared on Instagram, her sadness over missing the final farewell was expressed.
Her thoughts were sent to the late actor’s family, friends and colleagues who gathered to honour him.
A peaceful farewell was also wished for Olu Jacobs, while his contribution to Nollywood was remembered.
Several Nollywood stars also paid tribute to the veteran actor.
Chiwetalu Agu was among those who mourned Jacobs, while Rita Dominic described him as an icon and a legend.
Pete Edochie also paid tribute to his longtime colleague, while Peter Obi expressed sadness over the actor’s death.
Olu Jacobs was remembered for his long career in film, television and theatre.
His contribution to Nigeria’s entertainment industry was celebrated by colleagues and fans during the funeral activities.
