The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has secured a new kit partnership with German sportswear giant Adidas worth $8.5 million annually, with the agreement set to begin in 2027.
The deal will provide the NFF with $4.5 million in cash every year, while Adidas will supply $4 million worth of kits and equipment for Nigeria’s various national teams.
The agreement will also give the federation 20 percent of sales generated through Adidas stores in Nigeria, creating another potential source of revenue for the NFF.
The new partnership follows the end of Nigeria’s contract with Nike, which has supplied kits for the country’s national teams since 2015.
The switch represents a major increase in the commercial value of Nigeria’s kit deal and could give the federation more financial support for its national teams.
Adidas already has a long history with Nigerian football. The German sportswear giant previously supplied Nigeria’s national teams from 1980 to 1994 and again from 2004 to 2014.
Its return will now open another chapter in the relationship between Adidas and Nigerian football.
The new agreement covers Nigeria’s various national teams, including the Super Eagles and Super Falcons, as well as the country’s youth teams and other national sides.
The NFF could earn even more from the partnership through the 20 percent share of Adidas store sales. The final amount will depend on demand for Nigeria-branded merchandise across the country.
The partnership will officially begin in 2027, when Adidas takes over from Nike as Nigeria’s kit supplier.
