The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) says its Air Component of Operation HADIN KAI has carried out precision airstrikes in the Yuwe axis of Sambisa Forest, killing several terrorists in a sustained offensive against insurgent groups in the North-East.

According to a statement by the Director of Public Relations and Information at NAF Headquarters, Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, the operation was executed on Monday following credible intelligence and surveillance reports that confirmed the presence of terrorist elements in fortified structures and underground bunkers within the area. The targets were engaged with precision munitions, resulting in the destruction of enemy positions, neutralisation of fighters, and the dismantling of key logistics bases.

The Air Force said the strikes are part of ongoing efforts to maintain pressure on terrorist networks and degrade their operational capabilities across the region. It added that continuous intelligence-driven missions have forced insurgents into increasingly limited and defensive positions.

NAF also reaffirmed its commitment to sustaining air operations while ensuring strict adherence to rules of engagement and minimising civilian harm during operations.
