Nigerian singer Bella Shmurda has described music as more than just entertainment, calling it a powerful tool for societal growth and emotional well-being.

Speaking in the For Bunmi documentary, the ‘Cash App’ hitmaker said music plays a vital role in shaping society and influencing people’s state of mind. He referred to music as “warfare,” emphasizing its ability to drive progress and promote goodwill.

According to him, music can help people cope with life’s challenges by lifting their spirits and helping them stay mentally balanced. He noted that beyond making people dance, music also has the power to inspire self-awareness and keep individuals in a positive frame of mind.

Bella Shmurda also revealed that becoming a father has influenced his artistic direction. He said the responsibility has made him more mindful of the kind of content he produces, as he wants his children to grow up feeling proud of his work.
