INEC Begins Display of Voters Register in Bauchi

The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has started displaying the Preliminary Register of Voters across Bauchi State.

The exercise runs from April 29 to May 5, 2026 and covers all 20 local government offices in the state.

INEC announced the exercise through its voter education unit.

Aliyu Hassan Shaaba signed the statement on behalf of the Resident Electoral Commission, display follows the second phase of the Continuous Voter Registration, CVR.

The commission urged residents to check their details carefully. Voters can request corrections where needed. They can also report names of deceased persons, foreigners, or underage registrants.

INEC said the process will improve the credibility of the voters register. It added that public participation is key to free and fair elections. Residents are encouraged to visit their local offices before the deadline.
