Dan Marna Oil & Gas Polo Team emerged champions of the 2026 Access Bank Polo Cup after securing an impressive 9–6 victory over Mangal Cement Polo Team in the tournament’s final held at the Fifth Chukker Polo and Country Club, Kaduna.
The highly anticipated match attracted polo enthusiasts, dignitaries, and sports lovers who gathered to witness one of the highlights of the 2026 polo season. Despite a spirited performance by Mangal Cement Polo Team, Dan Marna Oil & Gas proved dominant throughout the contest, clinching the prestigious title and leaving Mangal Cement as runners-up.
In another major competition of the tournament, Golden Brickmore Polo Team claimed the UNICEF Cup title after defeating Profile Polo Team, which finished as runners-up.
The event also drew several prominent personalities who attended in style. Among them were His Royal Highness Abdulmumin Kabir Usman the emir of katsina, His Excellency Umaru Bago, Governor of Niger State, and the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Abbas Tajudeen. Their presence added prestige to the tournament and underscored the growing importance of polo as a major sporting and social event in Nigeria.
Founder of Fifth Chukker Polo and Country Club, Adamu Atta, joined other distinguished guests in celebrating students of the Fifth Chukker School, Kaduna, highlighting the club’s commitment to education and youth development alongside sporting excellence.
