Christian Eriksen Collapses During Friendly

Christian Eriksen suffered a medical scare on Sunday during Denmark’s friendly match against Ukraine in Odense.

The 34-year-old collapsed briefly on the pitch. Medical staff quickly rushed to help him.

The Danish Football Association later confirmed that Eriksen was conscious and stable.

National team doctor Morten Boesen said Eriksen recovered quickly and walked off the pitch by himself.

“Christian is doing well and walked off the pitch by himself,” Boesen said. “The pacemaker responded as it should.”

Boesen added that Eriksen was unconscious for a short time. He regained consciousness quickly.

Medical staff immediately checked him and kept in contact with him throughout the incident.

Eriksen has now gone to hospital for further tests. Doctors want to find the cause of the episode.

The doctor also said Eriksen sent greetings to his teammates and reassured them that he was fine.

This incident comes five years after Eriksen suffered a cardiac arrest during Euro 2021 against Finland.

He later received a pacemaker and returned to professional football after his recovery.
