The All Progressives Congress (APC) has extended its electronic membership registration exercise to February 8, 2026. The party also adjusted the dates for its ward congresses and national convention.

The decisions were taken at the 183rd meeting of the National Working Committee (NWC) held on Friday, January 30, 2026, at the party’s national secretariat in Abuja.

The statement was signed by the APC National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka.

According to the party, the extension followed requests from stakeholders across the country. The APC said the move will allow more supporters to register and validate their membership on the party’s digital platform.

The registration exercise was initially scheduled to end on January 31, 2026.

The party announced that ward congresses will now hold on Wednesday, February 18, 2026. The APC also fixed its national convention for March 27 and 28, 2026.

However, Osun State, Ekiti State and the Federal Capital Territory will not participate in the congresses due to upcoming elections. Rivers State is also excluded because of the ongoing tenure of the current state executive committee.

The NWC confirmed that it has constituted the National Convention Planning Committee. The party said details of the committee’s composition, timetable and schedule of activities will be released later.
