The Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) has extended the application deadline for student loans for the 2025/2026 academic session from January 31, 2026, to February 27, 2026.
NELFUND said the extension is to give prospective applicants more time to complete and submit their applications, ensuring that no eligible student is excluded due to timing challenges.
In a statement, the Fund’s Managing Director, Akintunde Sawyerr, said the decision reflects NELFUND’s commitment to inclusivity and access to education financing across Nigeria.
NELFUND urged students who are yet to apply or complete their applications to take advantage of the new deadline and ensure all required information is submitted before February 27, 2026.
