Tinubu Begins Three-State Visit, Heads to Lagos for End-of-Year Holiday

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will on Saturday depart Abuja on a three-state visit to Borno, Bauchi and Lagos States, before proceeding to Lagos to spend the end-of-year holidays.

According to a State House press release, the President will begin the trip in Borno State, where he is scheduled to commission projects executed by the Babagana Zulum administration in collaboration with the Federal Government.

He will also attend the wedding ceremony of Sadeeq Sheriff, son of former Borno State Governor, Senator Ali Modu Sheriff, and his bride, Hadiza Kam Salem.

From Maiduguri, President Tinubu will proceed to Bauchi State to condole with the state government and the family of Sheikh Dahiru Bauchi, the late Islamic scholar and leader of the Tijjaniyya Muslim Brotherhood, who died on November 27.

The President will thereafter travel to Lagos, where he will spend the forthcoming end-of-year holidays. While in the state, he is expected to serve as Guest of Honour at the Eyo Festival scheduled for December 27 at the Tafawa Balewa Square.

The festival will honour notable personalities, including President Tinubu’s mother, Alhaja Abibatu Mogaji, as well as former Lagos State governors Alhaji Lateef Jakande and Chief Michael Otedola.

The visit was confirmed in a statement signed by Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, dated December 19, 2025.
