Describing the visit as symbolic, CGC Adeniyi noted that the physical proximity of the two institutions represents a defining moment for improved coordination and efficiency in Nigeria’s trade environment.

“One of the core functions of the Nigeria Customs Service is trade facilitation, and having the Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment as our neighbour marks a defining moment for advancing trade facilitation and the ease of doing business in Nigeria,” the CGC stated.

The meeting is expected to lay the groundwork for deeper inter-agency cooperation in policy alignment, investment promotion, and the seamless movement of goods and services in line with the Federal Government’s economic reform agenda.
