Miss World Nigeria 2026, Tamunosoye Karibi-George, has combined pageantry with disability advocacy, fashion and cultural storytelling as she represents Nigeria at the Miss World competition in Vietnam.
The Rivers State-born beauty queen has delivered several standout performances ahead of the Miss World 2026 grand finale on September 5, earning recognition for both her modelling skills and advocacy work.
Karibi-George has already secured her place in the Top 40 after winning the Miss World Africa Top Model title, giving Nigeria a major boost as the competition enters its final stage.
One of Karibi-George’s notable appearances came during the Miss World Head-to-Head Challenge, where she used the international platform to promote her advocacy initiative, Beyond Labels.
The initiative focuses on awareness, education and inclusion, with particular attention to people living with disabilities and neurodivergent individuals.
Through her presentation, Karibi-George challenged stereotypes surrounding disability and neurodivergence while calling for a more inclusive society.

She competed against representatives from Equatorial Guinea, Botswana, Kenya and South Africa before securing the continental title.
The victory came with an important advantage: a guaranteed place in the Miss World Top 40 and continued representation for Nigeria in the next stage of the competition.

Karibi-George also used the Dance of the World presentation to showcase Nigeria’s cultural and environmental story.
She appeared in an elaborate costume inspired by Africa’s landscape and natural environment, incorporating carefully crafted details and natural elements representing the continent’s beauty and connection to nature.
The presentation went beyond fashion, drawing attention to environmental challenges in the Niger Delta, where Karibi-George has her roots.
Through the costume, she celebrated the region’s natural beauty while highlighting concerns surrounding pollution and environmental exploitation.
Federal Government backs Nigerian beauty queen
Karibi-George’s campaign has also received support from the Federal Government.
The Minister of Art, Culture and the Creative Economy, Hannatu Musawa, urged Nigerians to support the beauty queen with their votes as the competition moved towards its final stage.
Musawa emphasised the importance of every vote and called on Nigerians to rally behind Karibi-George in her bid to bring the Miss World crown to Nigeria.
The support has added momentum to a campaign that has brought together social inclusion, environmental awareness, fashion and Nigerian cultural identity.
