A former aspirant for the Sabon Gari Federal Constituency seat under the All Progressives Congress, Mahmud Sadis Buba, has officially withdrawn from the race for the House of Representatives.
In a letter addressed to the Kaduna State Chairman of the APC, Buba said his decision followed ongoing reconciliation efforts by party leaders and stakeholders aimed at strengthening unity within the party ahead of the elections.
He explained that after consultations with his family, political associates, and party stakeholders, he concluded that stepping down was in the best interest of the APC and the people of Sabon Gari Federal Constituency.
According to him, supporting a single candidate would improve the party’s chances of victory in the general election and ensure continued progress in the constituency and Kaduna State.
Buba thanked the leader of the party in the state, Uba Sani, and the APC leadership for giving him the opportunity to participate in the nomination process.
He described the experience as enriching and appreciated the support he received from constituents and political supporters throughout the campaign period.
The APC chieftain stressed that his withdrawal should not be seen as a sign of weakness, but rather a sacrifice made for the unity and success of the party.
He also reaffirmed his loyalty to the APC and pledged to work for the success of the party’s consensus candidate in the election.
Buba called on his supporters to remain calm, united, and fully support whoever eventually emerges as the party’s flag bearer for the constituency.
