Katsina State Governor, Dikko Umaru Radda, has presented brand new vehicles to two outstanding graduates of the Katsina State Institute of Technology and Management (KSITM), describing the gesture as a fulfillment of his promise to reward academic excellence.
The presentation ceremony took place on Monday at the Government House in Katsina.
According to a statement released after the event, Governor Radda had earlier pledged to reward the institution’s top graduating students with vehicles and permanent pensionable employment during KSITM’s convocation ceremony held on April 28, 2026.
The beneficiaries are Ibrahim Mai Nasara Bugaje from the Department of Networking and System Security, who graduated with a remarkable CGPA of 4.92, and Aisha Isiaku of the Department of Computer Software Engineering, who finished with a CGPA of 4.75 to emerge as the institution’s overall best graduating students.
Speaking during the presentation, Governor Radda congratulated the graduates for their academic achievements and urged them to remain committed to contributing positively to society and the development of Katsina State.
“I congratulate the two of you for reaching this important milestone. I hope you will continue to be beneficial to the state, put more effort into its development, and inspire younger generations to follow in your footsteps,” the governor said.
He added that the reward was aimed at encouraging hard work and academic dedication among students across the state.
“This is a promise fulfilled, and we thank Almighty God for granting us the opportunity to do so. We also appreciate the parents for their guidance, support, and mentorship, as well as the Institute of Technology and Management for the quality training and education provided to these students,” he stated.
The gesture has drawn praise from residents and education stakeholders, with many describing it as a strong incentive for academic excellence among young people in Katsina State.
