The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced that it will release results for candidates who sat for the first day of the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) before midnight on Friday.
The announcement was made in a statement shared on X by JAMB’s spokesperson, Fabian Benjamin.
According to the statement, candidates who wrote the exam on Thursday, April 16, 2026, will be among the first to receive their results.
JAMB confirmed that the results will be made available later in the day.
It also said an official public notice will be issued once the release is completed.
The statement read: “This is to inform all candidates who sat for the 2026 UTME on Thursday, 16th April 2026, that their results will be released today before midnight.”
It added that updates would be posted immediately once the results are ready.
The 2026 UTME began on April 16, 2026. Candidates across Nigeria have been participating in the nationwide examination.
JAMB has continued to monitor the process as part of efforts to ensure smooth conduct of the exercise.
Candidates are expected to check their results once the portal is activated. JAMB has not reported any delays so far.
Further updates are expected from the board as more batches of results are processed in the coming days.
