Gov Yusuf Disburses ₦50,000 Grants to 6,680 Women

Abba Kabir Yusuf has disbursed ₦50,000 each to 6,680 women across Kano State as part of an empowerment initiative.

The programme aims to support women and strengthen household incomes.

The disbursement took place at the Government House in Kano.

Beneficiaries were drawn from all 44 local government areas of the state.

Governor Yusuf said the grants will enhance petty trading and small-scale businesses.

He noted that the monthly support will help beneficiaries meet immediate needs.

He added that the initiative has already improved living standards for many women.

The governor said the disbursement is part of a continuous effort since the administration began.

He assured residents of sustained focus on people-centred programmes.

The governor commended the Kano State House of Assembly for its backing.

He also acknowledged the role of local government chairmen and party stakeholders.

Jibril Ismail Falgore urged beneficiaries to use the funds wisely.

Community leaders and political stakeholders praised the initiative.

They described it as a direct investment in human capital development.
