Tinubu Appoints CAC Chairman, Nominates NPC Commissioners

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved key appointments across federal agencies.

He appointed Ibrahim Ida as Chairman of the Corporate Affairs Commission.

Ida previously served as a senator representing Katsina Central and held senior public service roles.

The President also nominated seven individuals as commissioners of the National Population Commission.

The nominees will represent Ekiti, Zamfara, Bauchi, Kwara, Katsina, Jigawa and Sokoto states.

The appointments are subject to confirmation by the National Assembly.

Tinubu also appointed Yusuf Mohammed as Chairman of Federal Polytechnic, Kaltungo.

In addition, the President confirmed Bala Mohammed Bello as Special Adviser on Political Economy.

Bello previously served as Deputy Governor at the Central Bank of Nigeria.

He also worked as Executive Director at the Nigerian Export-Import Bank.

The Presidency said the appointments are part of efforts to strengthen governance and institutional capacity.

Officials expressed confidence in the appointees’ ability to support national development objectives.
