A symphony of commerce drowned out the quiet, reflective atmosphere of Eid-el-Fitr today as Muslim traders in Ado, Nasarawa State, flung open their doors for full business activity.

Immediately following the morning’s congregational prayers, the familiar clatter of crates and the sharp haggling of early-bird shoppers shattered the festive stillness.

By midday, teeming crowds reclaimed the main market roads, injecting life back into the heart of the Karu Local Government Area.

The urgent need to sustain the local supply chain especially for perishable goods drove many vendors back to their stalls the moment they left the prayer grounds.

The celebration is a blessing, but our customers in the Ado-Mararaba axis depend on us daily,” noted Alhaji Idris, a butcher.

Reopening quickly prevents a lack of supplies from dampening the festive spirit.

Food and beverage vendors reported record sales as families continued their celebrations.

Early market checks show that prices for staples like rice and tomatoes held steady despite the holiday rush.

As the sun sets over Nasarawa, the vibrant energy in Ado proves that while faith unites the community, the resilient spirit of trade drives it forward.
