The Peoples Democratic Party has criticised the Federal Government following recent bomb explosions in Maiduguri.

In a statement on Monday, the party said the attacks showed what it described as worsening insecurity in Nigeria.

The statement was signed by the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Ini Ememobong.

According to the party, the bomb blasts reportedly killed several people and left many others injured.

The PDP expressed sympathy with families affected by the explosions and condemned the attacks.

The party said the situation reflects what it called the government’s inability to effectively address security challenges.

It also criticised the administration of Bola Ahmed Tinubu, accusing it of failing to improve national security.

The opposition party argued that insecurity has expanded to several parts of the country in recent years.

It further claimed that many communities now experience security threats that were previously less common.

The PDP called on the Federal Government to move beyond rhetoric in addressing insecurity across Nigeria.

The party also urged authorities to engage community leaders and stakeholders in tackling security challenges.

According to the PDP, a collective national effort is necessary to improve safety and restore public confidence.
