The Customs Officers’ Wives Association has launched its Eco Club Initiative to promote climate action among young people.
Coronation Prep Academy became the first beneficiary of the programme.
The launch took place during an environmental education workshop in Gwagwalada, Abuja.

The event was held at the Ahmed Makarfi Hall of the Nigeria Customs Training and Doctrine Command.
COWA National President, Kikelomo Adeniyi, said the initiative targets schools because environmental values must start with children.
She described pupils as key partners in building greener and more sustainable communities.
Officials from the Federal Ministry of Environment praised the focus on grassroots climate education.
They urged pupils to adopt habits such as tree planting, proper waste disposal, and recycling.
Representatives of the National Council on Climate Change said the programme supports community-driven solutions to climate challenges.
The workshop featured lessons on climate change, tree conservation, and waste management using the 3Rs principle.
COWA announced plans to expand Eco Clubs to schools nationwide.
The association also plans monthly clean-up activities and state-level tree planting campaigns.
