ZEGCAWIS Completes Peer Educators Training in Borno

ZEGCAWIS, in partnership with Ipas Nigeria Health Foundation, has completed Day One of training peer educators in Borno. The program is helping young people learn about reproductive health, prevent gender-based violence, and support their fellow students.

(Zenith of the Girl Child and Women Initiative Support), In partnership with Ipas Nigeria Health Foundation, the organization has successfully completed Day One of the peer educator training in Borno State.

The training is for schools in conflict areas, including Bama, Mafa, Magumeri, and Damboa

The program is supported by Ipas Nigeria Health Foundation to help young people learn important health information.

Participants learned about: Sexual and reproductive health, Gender-based violence (GBV).

Through discussions and group work, students, as peer educators, asked questions, cleared misconceptions, and learned how to support others.

The training is helping to build peer educators who will: Create awareness, Share, support other young people, and correct information.

More training will continue to prepare youth to help their schools and communities.
