President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has reaffirmed that Nigeria will not surrender to terrorists or criminal groups. He made the declaration while addressing national security concerns across the country where he emphasized that his administration remains fully committed to defeating terrorism, banditry, and other violent crimes. He also stressed that the government is intensifying coordinated security operations nationwide.

According to official briefings from the Federal Government, security agencies have increased military deployments in affected regions, intelligence driven operations, joint task force coordination and rapid response rescue missions.

Nigeria has continued to face insecurity challenges, including terrorist attacks in the northeast, mass kidnappings in schools and rural communities and armed banditry in several northern and central states.

Recent incidents have increased pressure on the government to act decisively.

Earlier measures under Tinubu’s administration includes, declaring a nationwide security emergency, expanding recruitment for police and military forces, redeploying security personnel to high-risk zones and strengthening forest and border operations.

Security forces have also recorded operational gains, including, rescue of abducted civilians in northern operations, intensified offensives against Boko Haram and ISWAP factions and joint operations with international partners in the Lake Chad region.

Officials insist that the current strategy focuses on restoring peace in affected communities, dismantling terrorist networks, improving intelligence coordination and protecting schools and rural populations

Despite government efforts, insecurity remains a major national concern as citizens continue to call for faster and more effective protection measures.

The Tinubu administration maintains that Nigeria will not back down, promising sustained pressure on terrorist groups until stability is restored.
