An Islamic scholar, Sheikh Muhammad Adamu Dokoro, has called for stronger action to address rape in society.

He made the call during an ongoing Ramadan Tafsir session in Gombe.

Sheikh Dokoro described rape as a grave crime that is completely forbidden in Islam.

He said no responsible man would wish such harm on his sister or mother.

The cleric urged youths to shun rape and uphold moral discipline at all times.

He stressed that personal responsibility remains central to building a just society.

Sheikh Dokoro also spoke on the importance of decent dressing and modest conduct.

He said modesty can help reduce immoral behaviour and promote mutual respect.

The scholar appealed to government authorities to intensify efforts against sexual violence.

He called for justice for rape victims, regardless of gender or social status.

Sheikh Dokoro reminded worshippers that everyone will answer for their actions before Allah.

He warned that accountability awaits all on the Day of Judgment.

The message aligns with wider Ramadan teachings on morality, peace, and social responsibility.
