Former Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Prof. Ali Isa Pantami, says he remains optimistic about emerging victorious in the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship primary election in Gombe State ahead of the 2027 elections.

Pantami stated that his confidence is based on “strong evidence” rather than mere public opinion, stressing that several opinion polls conducted both physically and online placed him ahead of other aspirants.

According to him, he emerged number one in all 13 polls carried out by different groups and platforms assessing public support for potential APC governorship candidates in the state.

“I’m optimistic about winning the Gombe APC governorship primary because I relied on strong evidence, not opinion,” Pantami said.

The former minister noted that the outcome of the polls reflects the growing support he enjoys among party members and residents across Gombe State.

Pantami, who served under former President Muhammadu Buhari, has continued to attract attention within political circles following speculations about his possible governorship ambition.

Although the APC is yet to officially commence its primary election process, political activities and consultations among aspirants have intensified ahead of the 2027 general elections.
